At Redokun, we know how important it is to speed up your translation workflow without compromising quality. That’s why we’re excited to introduce an improvement to Pre-Translate—making it even faster and easier to use!

Many of our customers rely on Pre-Translate to streamline their workflow with AI-generated translation drafts. Now, we’ve enhanced the experience to give you more control and greater flexibility—all in just a few clicks.

What’s New?

With this update, when you click on Pre-Translate, you’ll now see a pop-up window that lets you:

Choose how to handle translations from your Translation Memory (previously approved translations)

Select your preferred machine translation engine (DeepL or Google Translate) for all target languages in one place

This means you can now make better-informed choices about how translations are applied and ensure that your workflow remains consistent across all projects.

More Control Over Translation Memory Usage

You can now decide how previously approved translations are handled:

  • Option 1: Mark all as “Confirmed”
  • Option 2: Mark only context-aware matches as “Confirmed”

Both options use your Translation Memory (100% matches), but Option 2 takes a more cautious approach. Like Option 1, it applies translations even when the surrounding context is different, but in this case, it marks them as Draft for review, ensuring they are only confirmed when the context is the same.

This change helps your translators reuse approved translations rather than translating from scratch—leading to greater consistency and efficiency in your workflow.

Your selection will apply to all target languages in a single step, saving you even more time!

Batch Pre-Translate, Simplified

Just like before, you can pre-translate multiple languages at once.

Now, your selected Translation Memory handling applies consistently across all target languages in the batch—ensuring uniform treatment of previously approved translations.

Machine Translation: Marked as Draft

We’ve also made a change to how AI-generated machine translations appear in the Web Editor.

Previously, you had the option to mark them as “Confirmed,” but they will now always be marked as “Draft.” This change helps prevent confusion between machine translations and sentences imported from Translation Memory, ensuring that translators know which segments require their review.

Try It Out Today!
