FAQ: Is it possible to use Redokun with our external translation agencies?

If you translate your sales materials and marketing content, such as manuals, brochures, user guides, blogs, and so on, you may rely on external translators to work on your translation projects.

Working with them is not always straightforward, as different translators or agencies may request different file formats to submit documents or processes they would like you to adopt, creating more complexities in the translation workflow.

For example, you may not be able to send an InDesign file. They may ask you to send texts in Word or Excel documents and send you back the translated texts in their preferred file format. This customization alone could be complicated, and think about all the email communications that you need to deal with. Not to mention all the copying and pasting!

So, unsurprisingly, one of the most frequently asked questions is: Is it possible to use Redokun with our external translators or translation agencies?

The answer is YES!

In fact, for most of our customers, it was one of the key drivers on why they decided to adopt Redokun: ALL TRANSLATIONS IN ONE PLACE!

4 advantages of using Redokun for all target languages and all translators:

  1. YOU own the process, not other parties. You will no longer need to work around the processes set up by other parties. Simply invite your translators to your projects directly from Redokun, and once they accept your invitation they can get straight to work within Redokun! Translators only see the target language they have been assigned to. You now have a tool that can be adopted by all parties involved. If your translators prefer to use their own tools or work offline, they can do that, too (more information here).
  1. Ease of project management and collaboration. You can avoid having multiple workstreams based on the target languages or vendors you use. This is because managers and translators can also message each other directly within the application by tagging each other. This means less time spent writing emails to each other from your email account.
  1. Increased visibility to project progress. You can check Redokun and see which translators completed the translations and which need some nudging to make progress. You can also set daily or weekly reminders to go out automatically to remind both managers and translators of their ongoing projects and the status of each.
  1. Build a repository of approved translations for consistency and speed. With Redokun, you gradually build a repository of approved translations that ensures consistency across all your projects while reducing repetitive translation tasks. Reusing these translations not only speeds up your workflow but also minimizes the effort required for new projects. This helps save time, maintain a cohesive voice, and streamline the translation process for all your sales and marketing materials.
